The Carrotwood (Cupaniopsis anacardioides) is a dense, evergreen tree commonly planted in Southern California for shade and screening. It adapts well to a variety of soil conditions and urban environments, making it a popular landscape choice. However, it produces heavy fruit and seedlings and can spread aggressively, requiring regular maintenance and, in some cases, removal to prevent unwanted growth.
