Australian Bottle Tree | Drought Tolerant Trees
The Australian Bottle (Brachychiton populneus) is a very hardy evergreen shade tree known best for its upright shape and bright green leaves. It boasts a temporary small, bell shaped white bloom followed by a uniquely boat-shaped woody seed. As it establishes, the canopy will develop a cone-shape, and becomes more rounded with maturity, providing a very unique growth pattern. The Australian Bottle is a very desert hardy tree and performs well in this environment with very little maintenance needed.
